The art of cutlery making: quality, care and durability
Our cutlery is not just a daily tool, but also an expression of quality and design. In this post, we take a look at the materials and care of our cutlery to ensure the longevity and beauty you expect.
The production: stainless steel 18/8
For all our cutlery we use high-quality stainless steel, to which chrome and nickel are added in a ratio of 18% chrome and 8% nickel, also known as "18/8 stainless steel". This special mixture gives the cutlery exceptional durability and high resistance to rust and acids.
Stainless steel 18/8 or 18/10 is a little more expensive than 18/0 cutlery because it is more durable and has a higher corrosion resistance. The proportion of nickel in this alloy is crucial for these properties, but it also has a disadvantage: some people are allergic to nickel. Although we have not received any negative feedback so far, we would like to recommend that allergy sufferers be careful and use our cutlery at their own risk.
Our trademark: Black PVD coating
Our cutlery range is known for its elegant black PVD coating, which is not only visually impressive but also extremely durable. This high-quality coating emphasizes the elegant and modern aesthetics of our products. In the future, we plan to expand our range to include other colors, but at the moment our focus is on this striking black coating.
Care instructions: For a long service life
Proper care is particularly important for our black cutlery. Limescale stains are much more visible on dark surfaces than on classic silver cutlery. It is therefore important to ensure that sufficient salt is added to the dishwasher to minimize limescale deposits.
However, for the best possible care, we recommend hand washing to protect the coating and ensure the longevity of the cutlery. This way, your cutlery will remain in perfect condition and retain its elegant shine even after many uses.
